Privacy Policy

This is the 256bip privacy policy, written by E81 Solutions. We keep it simple, direct, and free of legal jargon.

At 256bip, you stay in control. We collect only what is necessary for the network to work and to keep you safe.

What we collect

  • Your account: username, e-mail address and profile information. Your e-mail is used for sign-in, account security and essential notices.
  • Your posts: public BiPs, interactions, likes and comments visible on the platform.
  • Messages: conversations in Messages are confidential and accessible only to you and the recipient.
  • Access and device data, for security: the IP address of each sign-in and the approximate country, state and city it indicates (this is where your sign-up country comes from); in the Android app, a device identifier derived from the Android ID, stored only as an irreversible code (never the identifier itself), and the result of the Google Play Integrity check, which tells whether the device and app are genuine.

How we protect you

All 256bip traffic uses encryption in transit, private messages are end-to-end encrypted, and sign-in codes are stored in a one-way hashed form. We apply least privilege across our systems.

Golden rule: we do not use hidden trackers or scripts that monitor your behaviour on other websites.

Security and abuse prevention

IP and device data support network security and abuse prevention. When an account is removed for abuse, security records such as e-mail, IP and a derived device code may be retained to prevent repeat abuse. The device identifier is stored as a one-way code; this does not mean all these records are anonymous. Contact support to request clarification or a review.

No selling data

We do not sell or rent your data to advertisers or marketing agencies. Infrastructure services may process information necessary to operate and secure the network for that purpose.

Your rights and cascading deletion

You may access, correct or request deletion of your data. Confirming Delete account automatically starts removal of the account, profile, posts and linked records, as well as avatars, covers, feed media and verification documents. File cleanup failures may require automatic retries.

Access logs and information necessary for legal duties or abuse prevention may have specific retention. Backups and copies on devices or held by others do not instantly disappear. Read Brazil LGPD and use Contact for help.
