Who handles personal data

Purpose and necessity

Account, profile and interaction data enable the service. Access and device data support authentication and abuse prevention. Data is not sold to advertisers or used to score the feed: the network is chronological.

Your rights and controls

You can view and correct your profile, adjust privacy and request account deletion. Requests for confirmation, access, correction, information about sharing, portability, objection or withdrawal of consent can be sent through the contact channel, subject to the legal conditions of each right.

Automatic cascading deletion

Confirming Delete account in settings automatically starts cascading removal on the server, without asking you to clean each item manually. The flow removes the account and associated records, including the profile, BiPs, comments, interactions, friendships, scheduled posts and linked credentials.

It also covers associated files: avatar, profile cover, feed media, profile photos, stories and verification documents. The team uses the same central flow for permanent account removal; security records may have separate retention.

Files and retries

Record deletion is committed before physical files are cleaned. Avatars, covers, feed media and documents have deletion controls and retries for access, permission or service failures. Starting deletion therefore does not mean every file disappears in the same second.

Specific retention

Deletion does not cancel legal duties. Access logs, necessary abuse prevention information and moderation records may be retained where justified and necessary. Article 16 of the LGPD allows specific retention. These records do not allow keeping a public profile or using your data for advertising.

Backups have their own handling and cycles. Third-party downloads, copies shared outside the network and files kept on a device are not erased by server deletion.

Protection and restricted access

The service uses HTTPS for traffic, hash-protected credentials and access controls. Verification documents have restricted access and are included in cleanup. Infrastructure services may process data necessary to operate the service for that purpose; this is different from selling it to advertisers.
